KYC Specialist (6-Month Contract)

Key Responsibilities:

KYC,AML/CFT & Sanctions Operations

• Perform end-to-end KYC reviews for corporate/project finance clients and counterparty banks, including onboarding, periodic reviews, trigger events, and remediation.
• Conduct CDD/EDD and sanctions screening on customer profiles, ownership/control structures, source of funds, transaction purpose, and business rationale.
• Review complex structures involving sponsors, borrowers, guarantors, shareholders, and beneficial owners.
• Assess customer risk profiles and ensure KYC files are complete, accurate, and aligned with documentation standards.
• Oversee transaction monitoring, investigate alerts, close false positives, and escalate suspicious cases where required.

Research, Screening & Case Analysis

• Conduct adverse media, negative news, PEP, sanctions, and risk indicator searches using Factiva and approved tools.
• Document clear, audit-ready case analysis, evidence, rationale, and follow-up actions for information gaps or unresolved risks.

Governance& Reporting

• Maintain complete KYC files, track review status, provide updates, and support quality checks/remediation.
• Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.

Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with Front Office, Credit, Operations and relevant teams to obtain documentation and resolve KYC issues.
• Manage escalations, provide practical KYC guidance, and ensure timely closure of outstanding review items.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on KYC experience in corporate banking, with structured/project finance exposure preferred.
• Experience with corporates, borrowers, sponsors, project companies, guarantors, and related counterparties.
• Strong knowledge of KYC, CDD/EDD, risk assessment, documentation standards, and case write-ups.
• Able to interpret corporate/project finance structures and produce clear KYC assessment notes.
• Strong research, analytical, investigative, stakeholder management, and deadline-management skills.
