Associate, Competition, Regulation and Trade

Our Competition, Regulation and Trade practice is looking for a motivated mid-level lawyer to join our Competition, Regulation and Trade practice as an Associate to be based in our Singapore office.

Primary Objectives

• Make an effective contribution to the firm's work by aiming to meet and exceed target hours.
• Be responsible for some management and delegation of work to and support of junior colleagues.
• The role involves regular collaboration with colleagues and clients across Mandarin- and Cantonese-speaking markets. Strong communication skills in both Mandarin and Cantonese are therefore essential to effectively support the commercial and day-to-day requirements of the practice.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• 3 years of post-qualification experience gained from private practice in a common law jurisdiction;
• Completed the EU Competition Law Postgraduate Diploma at King's College, London (or an equivalent program);
• In-depth experience in competition and regulatory law, in both advisory and contentious work;
• An excellent academic record, strong communication skills and a high level of attention to detail;
• An ability to work to tight timeframes, collaboratively, and at times, autonomously;
• Demonstrated proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese
