About the Role
As our Community Engagement Officer, you will be the welcoming face and voice of BTSS, helping members stay connected to our programmes, volunteers and wider community.
You will coordinate community activities, support volunteer engagement, manage member communications.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, organising meaningful programmes and contributing to a purpose-driven organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Community Engagement
Respond to enquiries received via the BTSS hotline, WhatsApp and email.
Welcome and engage new members, helping them navigate available BTSS programmes and services.
Coordinate community communications, including WhatsApp announcements and member updates.
Maintain accurate member records and interactions in Salesforce.
Community Programmes & Events
Coordinate BTSS support group meetings and community activities.
Maintain the annual community events calendar.
Liaise with healthcare partners and community organisations on collaborative events and programmes.
Support the implementation of initiatives such as the Back-to-School
Information Kits for parent caregivers.
Volunteer Engagement
Coordinate volunteer recruitment, onboarding and engagement.
Manage the BTSS Buddies programme, matching volunteers with isolated patients and caregivers for companionship and respite support.
Coordinate volunteer appreciation initiatives, including birthday blessings and recognition activities.
Community Outreach
Conduct follow-up calls and occasional home visits for beneficiaries under the BTSS Empowerment Grant.
Maintain regular engagement with members to encourage participation in awareness and community events.
Identify members who may benefit from additional support and refer them to the appropriate BTSS programmes.
