Dental surgery assistant

Job Summary

You will assist dentists chairside during treatments, maintain infection control, sterilize instruments, manage dental equipment, perform minor lab work, and handle receptionist duties including appointment scheduling and patient enquiries.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists chairside during dental treatments and procedures to ensure smooth workflow and patient comfort
• Maintain infection control protocols consistently to ensure a safe clinical environment
• Sterilize dental instruments and clear trays promptly to prepare for procedures
• Maintain and check dental equipment regularly to ensure proper functioning
• Perform minor dental laboratory tasks to support treatment processes
• Manage inventory by ensuring dental instruments and materials are well stocked in treatment rooms
• Perform general housekeeping to maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the clinic
• Handle receptionist duties including scheduling appointments and responding to patient enquiries via phone and counter
• Use basic computer skills to support administrative tasks and patient record management
• Coordinate effectively with team members to support clinic operations and patient care
• Adapt to flexible working hours including rotating shifts as required

• Strong organizational skills to manage clinical and administrative duties
