OVERVIEW
The position will be part of the Tender Centre team to help drive growth in market shares of the freight, logistics and transportation businesses within the Nippon Express SAO organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage end-to-end RFQ process for all accounts, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions.
- Lead and coordinate RFQ kick-off calls, aligning stakeholders on timelines, scope, and bid strategy.
- Proactively engage and collaborate with SAO countries, account owners, and internal stakeholders to drive competitive and compliant tender submissions.
- Scrutinize and validate rate submissions from countries, ensuring alignment with market benchmarks and bid strategy.
- Drive rate negotiations with countries to enhance pricing competitiveness while managing risk exposure.
- Perform pricing analysis, benchmarking, and continuous improvement of rate quality to increase win ratio.
- Analyze customer tenders and ensure capability and customer requirements are correctly translated into pricing and solution documents.
- Maintain timely tender data profiling and records on required platforms and databases.
- Monitor tender outcomes and support post-mortem analysis, identifying key success factors and areas for improvement.
- Ensure smooth transition to Implementation team upon business award and assist on SOP setup specifically on rate aspect.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Tender Centre.
- Other duties and responsibilities assigned by Direct Report and Management.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or Degree in Logistic Supply Chain, Business or related field.
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience in logistics, pricing or tender management (Regional / Global exposure preferred).
- Experience in pricing analysis and cost modelling is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI and QlikView is an advantage.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
