Responsibilities:
• Implement and monitor Work Place Occupational Health and Safety of the Project Site
• Conduct Mass Toolbox Meeting and Monthly WSH Committee Meeting
• Conduct regular site inspections and follow upon corrective actions to ensure compliance.
• Conduct Internal Safety Audit
• Work closely with site operations staff and Project Managers on all WSH matters.
• Identify unsafe work practices / work conditions and implement control measures to rectify unsafe work, Prepare accident reports, lead investigations.
• Ensure risk assessments and safe work procedures are properly executed, reviewed, and enforced.
• Monitor & assess on the effectiveness of all recommended control measures
• Ensure all personnel on site complied to all in-house rules & regulations
• Ensure all activities / procedures complied to all statutory requirements
• Conduct job hazard analysis to establish safe practices and engineering controls.
• Conduct training for staff & workers to create awareness of Safety Measurement
• Conduct presentations (Safety Management System)to Client / Consultant
• Assist Project Manager in investigating accidents cases, prepare I-report, prepare in-house accident investigation report, prepare and update incident/accident analysis
• Facilitate and conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001, and OHSAS45001 standards.
• Ensure full compliance with statutory safety and environmental regulations, including timely submission of required documents.
Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Workplace Safety & Health disciplines.
• Registered WSHO
• Good knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and GGBS.
• Strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction sector, with at least 3 years in a Safety Officer role.
• Prior experience in HDB projects (HIP/BTO) will be an advantage.
