F&B Captain

Job Description & Requirements:
Stamford Social is looking for a reliable and guest-oriented Captain to join our front of house team. As a key member of service, you will help deliver attentive hospitality, maintain section organisation, and ensure guests enjoy a smooth and memorable dining experience. This role is suited to someone with solid service experience, strong product knowledge, and a positive, team-focused attitude. You should be confident managing your section while supporting supervisors and managers in maintaining service quality.

Key requirements

Previous service experience in a restaurant, cafe, hotel, or similar hospitality setting

Good knowledge of floor service basics, guest interaction, and order handling

Well-groomed, dependable, and comfortable in a guest-facing role

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Positive attitude and willingness to support service across different periods of the day

Able to work weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts as required

Key responsibilities

Provide attentive and professional service to guests throughout their dining experience

Take orders accurately and communicate clearly with the kitchen and service team

Manage your section efficiently and maintain strong awareness of guest needs

Support setup, reset, cleanliness, and readiness of the dining area

Maintain menu and product knowledge to guide guests confidently

Work closely with supervisors and managers to ensure service standards are met

Contribute to a warm, welcoming, and polished guest experience at all times
