BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
About this job
The trainee will be guided directly by the Director and will be exposed to day-to-day business development operations, partnership coordination, outlet performance support, and compliance matters relevant to restaurant business.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Director in identifying and evaluating new business opportunities related to Izakaya operations.
2. Conduct market observation on customer preferences, entertainment trends, and competitor activities within the industry.
3. Support the development of promotional concepts, themed events, and collaboration ideas suitable for club and Izakaya settings.
4. Coordinate with external vendors, performers, and service providers for events, entertainment programs, and outlet activities.
5. Prepare business proposals, concept briefs, and presentation materials for management review.
6. Monitor outlet operations from a business development perspective to identify areas for improvement or expansion.
7. Assist in planning outlet expansion, renovation concepts, or new offerings.
8. Support the Director in managing partnerships with alcohol suppliers, food partners.
9. Ensure business activities align with licensing requirements, restaurant regulations, and operational guidelines.
10. Compile reports on business initiatives, industry developments, and outcomes for internal discussion.
11. Participate in management meetings to provide input on operational improvements and customer engagement strategies.
Technical Skills and Competencies:
1. Strong understanding of Izakaya-style business operations.
2. Ability to analyze market trends and customer behavior within hospitality and entertainment environments.
3. Competency in preparing business proposals, concept notes, and operational reports.
4. Knowledge of basic licensing, compliance, and regulatory requirements for for buisness.
5. Good coordination and communication skills for working with vendors and external partners.
6. Ability to plan and organize entertainment activities and promotional initiatives.
7. Practical problem-solving skills applied to real operational challenges.
8. Proficiency in basic office software for documentation, reporting, and presentations.
9. Ability to follow management direction closely and execute tasks according to business needs.
Duration of Traineeship/Attachment Offered - 6 months
Mature Mid Career Individuals - $3,300
This Position is open for mid career individuals (Mature, 40 years and above).
