Introduction
As a Supply Chain Intern in a manufacturing plant, the position supports the Supply Chain team in procurement, warehouse, inventory and material planning activities. The role provides hands-on exposure to supply chain operations within a chemical manufacturing environment while assisting in monitoring material availability, delivery schedules, stock levels and process improvement initiatives.
Job Description
Procurement Support
• Assist in converting Purchasing Requests into Purchasing Orders under the guidance of the Supply Chain team.
• Follow up on PO status and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Maintain and update purchasing records.
Material Delivery Monitoring
• Assist in monitoring incoming material schedules.
• Follow up with suppliers and forwarders on delivery status.
• Update material arrival schedules and highlight potential delays to the team.
Inventory & Stock Management Support
• Assist in monitoring material stock levels and consumption.
• Compare stock levels against stock policies and production requirements.
• Assist in identifying potential material shortages, excess stock or expiry risks.
Warehouse Operations Support
• Assist in monitoring material receiving, storage and issuing activities.
• Support warehouse documentation and inventory records.
• Assist in maintaining proper material storage and housekeeping practices.
Supply Chain Data Analysis
• Collect and analyse purchasing, inventory and delivery data.
• Prepare reports and summaries to support supply chain planning and decision-making.
Process Improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement, warehouse and supply chain processes.
• Contribute to Work Improvement Suggestions and assist in implementing agreed improvements.

• Location: Jurong Island (Company Transport Provided)
• Commencement: ASAP
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:45 pm
