About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, culturally attuned Content Moderation & Curriculum Executive (based in KL) to safeguard brand integrity and drive educational content excellence across our global digital ecosystem (Muslim Pro & Qalbox).
In this dual-impact role, you will serve as the primary line of defense for content compliance (aligning with regional regulatory frameworks and internal Standards & Practices) while actively contributing to Muslim Pro Academy’s (MPA) curriculum development across key verticals including Iqra, Fiqh, Sirah etc.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Moderation & Compliance Safeguards
- Risk & Integrity Management: Review, fact-check, and moderate daily in-app assets, articles, user-generated content and video titles to ensure 100% alignment with Islamic values, S&P guidelines, and regional regulatory codes.
- Review and refine content scripts, assets, and short-form video content to guarantee theological, historical, and contextual accuracy.
- Hazard & Scenario Analysis: Conduct independent research and consult religious advisors [if required] to draft proactive risk analyses and community response protocols for sensitive topics.
- Content Advisory: Provide strategic suitability recommendations and feedback to internal teams and external content partners to optimize content for our global user base.
2. MPA Curriculum & Educational Content Building
- Curriculum Structuring: Collaborate with Content Lead and external scholars to research, structure, and assemble engaging learning tracks for Muslim Pro Academy (MPA), covering Iqra, Fiqh, Sirah, thematic Quranic lessons etc.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Education & Background: Degree in Islamic Studies, Sociology, or a related studies.
- Domain Experience [if available]: Prior background in content moderation, censorship, editorial review, or curriculum development within digital media or OTT platforms.
- Cultural Competency: Good understanding of contemporary Muslim lifestyle dynamics, diverse Islamic traditions, and cultural nuances in APAC/MENA would be a plus.
- Tech & Production Savvy: Working knowledge of AI content tools, basic multimedia software (CapCut, Canva, Premiere Pro).
- Critical Thinking: Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detecting subtle theological or cultural inaccuracies.
- Agility: Ability to self-direct and prioritize high-volume daily publishing workflows within a fast-paced digital environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams, consult external parties and interact with the user base
