Salary: Up to S$10,000 per month, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of building construction projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overall project management, including project planning, design and technical coordination, site operations, stakeholder management, cost and schedule control, regulatory compliance, safety and successful project completion.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Management
- Lead the overall planning, scheduling and execution of building construction projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within approved scope and budget, and in accordance with project requirements.
- Develop detailed project plans and monitor project progress, resources and critical activities.
- Manage changes to project scope, schedules and costs using appropriate project management controls.
- Identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to management.
Technical & Design Coordination
- Resolve technical and site issues in coordination with internal teams, clients, consultants and contractors.
- Coordinate architectural, structural, M&E and interior works to ensure effective interfacing across disciplines.
- Coordinate and track the timely issuance of design drawings by consultants.
- Review and monitor shop drawings, technical submissions and material approvals.
- Ensure submissions from contractors, vendors and suppliers comply with project requirements.
- Establish and implement appropriate architectural, structural and M&E detailing standards for projects.
Construction & Site Management
- Oversee construction activities and site operations.
- Ensure works are executed according to approved drawings, contract specifications, quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate internal resources, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and vendors to support project delivery.
- Ensure appropriate allocation of project resources.
- Monitor workmanship, quality and project progress.
- Promote and maintain compliance with applicable Workplace Safety and Health requirements and project safety procedures.
Regulatory & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and relevant stakeholders throughout project execution.
- Monitor authority submissions, approvals and clearances in accordance with project schedules.
- Attend project meetings and provide leadership in resolving project-related matters.
- Escalate significant project risks or issues to management where required.
Commercial & Documentation Support
- Support the Quantity Surveying team in tender exercises, tender evaluations and review of technical specifications.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate project documentation.
- Prepare and submit weekly project progress reports to management.
- Perform other relevant duties assigned in support of project delivery.
Requirements
- Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant project management experience within the building construction industry.
- Experience managing public or private residential, government, commercial or similar building construction projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of structural, architectural, finishing and/or M&E works.
- Good understanding of construction methods, project planning, site management and regulatory requirements.
- Strong project management, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination abilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Able to work within project timelines and manage competing deadlines.
