Locum Physiotherapist (Home Therapy)

We are recruiting a Locum Physiotherapist to conduct home therapy for a client located in the East.

Availability:

• Part-time (2 sessions per week, one hour per session)
• Immediate
• About 1 year duration

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assess the client’s physical condition and mobility needs
• Conduct safe and appropriate physiotherapy sessions twice weekly
• Advise on positioning, transfers, mobility and the prevention of complications
• Teach caregivers safe handling and transfer techniques
• Recommend suitable exercises, routines or equipment where appropriate
• Develop a practical routine that caregivers can continue between sessions
• Monitor the client’s progress and adjust the therapy plan when needed

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy
• Full AHPC Registration
• Relevant experience supporting clients with complex mobility needs
• Experience in caregiver training and safe manual handling
• Physically fit and able to assist safely with hands-on therapy, positioning and transfer-related training
• Patient, reliable and able to communicate instructions clearly
• Committed to providing consistent, ongoing sessions twice per week
