ASSISTANT COOK

Job Summary

As an Assistant Cook, assist the Head Cook to prepare and arrange food. Their duties include cleaning the kitchen area, washing dishes and utensils, ensuring the Head Cook has all required items to run the kitchen efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Cook by cleaning, cutting, and chopping food ingredients to prepare meals
• Clean and sanitize food preparation areas following company hygiene codes and health and safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and wash dishes and utensils to support smooth kitchen operations
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Stand for extended periods and safely lift moderate weights to support kitchen tasks

Required competencies and certifications

• Basic knowledge of food preparation and hygiene practices
• Minimum 4 years of experience working in a kitchen environment
