Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging online lessons in Chemistry, Biology, or Physics to classes of 10-20+ students via Zoom
• Identify and address students’ learning gaps using AI-supported tools to reinforce understanding and correct misconceptions
• Maintain firm yet nurturing communication to motivate and support student progress
• Collaborate with the team to enhance curriculum and contribute to content creation such as webinars and social media materials
• Manage your teaching schedule within designated working hours (Weekdays 1pm-9pm, Weekends 10:30am-6pm)
• Participate in assessments including a test, mock lesson, and interview to demonstrate teaching competency

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience in Chemistry, Biology, or Physics
• Familiarity with the Singapore syllabus to ensure curriculum alignment
• Dependability and responsibility in managing online classes and student engagement
• Effective communication skills to deliver clear and motivating instruction
• Ability to maintain a balance of firmness and nurturing in student interactions

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience working with marking teams to manage assessment workload
• Interest or experience in Edtech, AI, or machine learning applications in education
• Willingness to develop new skills such as webinar presentation, curriculum writing, and social media content creation

Other Information

Working Hours:

• Weekdays: 1pm to 9pm
• Weekends: 10:30am to 6pm
• Full-time staff receive 1 weekend and 1 weekday off

Salary Range:

• Full-timers: $4.5k - $6k+

Selection Process:

• Candidates must complete a test via email, followed by a mock lesson and interview
