Senior Executive / Assistant Manager, Maintenance & Engineering

Assist the Facility Manager to manage and oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the building including key equipment/systems, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, etc. and ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of all building services while maintaining compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee day to day operations and maintenance of building systems, including refrigeration system, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, plumbing, ACMV, and other essential services.
- Conduct inspections, perform maintenance, troubleshooting, resolving and repairs duties to ensure facilities are in good operational condition.
- Coordinate and manage contractors, service providers, and improvement projects to ensure quality, safety, and timely completion.
- Support the planning, execution, and supervision of preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance works.
- Respond to facility emergencies and coordinate recovery actions to minimize operational disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including workplace safety, fire safety, building regulations, and environmental standards.
- Prepare reports, service records, technical documentation and source quotations.
- Liaise with tenants, government agencies, etc on facilities-related matters.
- Any other duties assigned by the immediate reporting officer or management.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
- Good technical knowledge of building M&E systems, Electrical, fire protection systems, statutory compliance and/or ammonia refrigeration system preferred.
- Possess Fire Safety Manager (FSM) certification preferred.
- Minimum 3-5years relevant facility management experience with preference for industrial background.
- Competency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel.
- Proactive & hands-on team player with the ability to work independently under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Strong problem-solving, procurement and communication skills.
