Senior Technical Delivery Manager

About the Opportunity

Our client is a leading technology solutions provider delivering software and digital solutions to organisations across diverse industries. They are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Delivery Manager to lead end-to-end product and software delivery across the full lifecycle, from planning and development through deployment, go-live, and post-production support.

This role will work closely with business, product, engineering, design, project management, and operations teams to ensure successful delivery against agreed scope, quality, budget, timelines, and governance requirements.

The Senior Technical Delivery Manager will also take on Scrum Master responsibilities and, where required, support operational readiness and post-go-live activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of software products and large-scale programmes.
• Develop and manage delivery roadmaps, project plans, milestones, dependencies, and releases.
• Drive Agile delivery practices including sprint planning, backlog management, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
• Partner closely with engineering and business teams to manage priorities, resolve blockers, and ensure delivery remains on track.
• Manage delivery risks, issues, dependencies, escalations, and trade-offs.
• Drive cross-functional alignment across product, engineering, design, operations, and business stakeholders.
• Provide delivery reporting to senior leadership and governance forums.
• Ensure compliance, quality, governance, release, and operational readiness requirements are met.
• Manage multi-vendor delivery where required.
• Mentor Delivery Managers, Scrum Masters, and delivery teams to strengthen delivery capability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 8+ years of experience in software delivery, programme/project management, Agile delivery, or product delivery.
• Proven experience as a Senior Delivery Manager, Programme Manager, Agile Delivery Lead, Scrum Master, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum and the software development lifecycle.
• Proven experience managing complex projects/programmes, roadmaps, dependencies, risks, and multiple stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical teams.
• Good technical understanding and experience working closely with engineering teams.
• Experience in enterprise governance, compliance, release management, or operational readiness is advantageous.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Miro, or similar tools is preferred.
• PMP, CSM, CSPO, SAFe, PRINCE2, CITPM, or equivalent certification is an advantage.
