Math Mavens is looking for experienced Primary Mathematics teachers to join our team.

We are a specialist Primary Mathematics centre built around one simple idea:

Why teachers join Math Mavens

Maximum 10 classes per week
Each class is 2 hours. We deliberately limit teaching load so teachers have time to prepare, mark, support students and work with colleagues.

5-day work week (Onsite)
4 weekdays + Saturday.
No Sunday classes.

6 weeks scheduled leave each year
2 weeks in June and 4 weeks in November/December.

Strong remuneration

• Monthly salary: $5,800–$7,100, depending on experience

• Experienced MOE teachers: we will match or improve your current monthly salary

Math Mavens specialises exclusively in Primary Mathematics.

Our teachers work collaboratively to develop, test and refine the strategies we use in our classrooms. You won't be expected to develop an entire programme alone, nor simply be handed worksheets and told to teach them.

You will be part of a team that discusses Mathematics, pedagogy, student misconceptions and better ways of explaining difficult concepts.

Regular pedagogical and content training is built into the job.

What you will do

Your primary responsibility is teaching.

You will:

• Teach up to 10 Primary Mathematics classes each week

• Monitor students' progress and provide meaningful feedback

• Communicate regularly with parents

• Work with colleagues to improve lessons and curriculum

• Participate in professional discussions and training

• Support students who occasionally miss lessons

• Support your teaching team when unexpected situations arise
