Job Summary

The Test Engineer will lead end-to-end testing of integrated e-payment systems, developing and automating test solutions to ensure system quality and security within DevSecOps frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end testing activities for integrated e-payment systems to ensure quality and functionality
• Plan tests by analyzing business and system requirements to develop comprehensive test strategies
• Prepare test environments and design detailed test cases to validate system performance and reliability
• Execute test procedures and automate testing solutions using scripting or programming languages for efficiency
• Tune performance of automated tests to optimize execution speed and accuracy
• Create traceability matrices to link test cases to requirements, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions
• Log, track, and manage defects through to resolution to maintain system integrity
• Conduct test reviews with internal and external stakeholders to align on quality standards and progress
• Perform root cause analysis on production and user acceptance defects to improve test coverage and effectiveness
• Develop clear design documents and user manuals to guide testers and stakeholders in using test automation tools
• Implement and maintain automated testing pipelines within DevSecOps frameworks integrating functional, performance, and basic security testing throughout development cycles

Required competencies and certifications

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ experience executing testing and developing test automation solutions for devices (UI-based or embedded) and/or back-office systems, covering full system development lifecycle
• At least 3 years’ experience testing on Windows operating systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to document and collaborate effectively
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience testing on Unix/Linux, embedded systems, or cloud-based environments
• Certification in software testing
• Experience with Micro-payments/Automatic Fare Collection systems using Smart Cards and diverse test phases including System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, and Performance Testing
• Familiarity with DevSecOps tools such as Confluence, Jira, Xray, GitLab CI/CD, or similar platforms with security plugin integration
• Experience with API security testing automation and microservices security validation
