IT Network and Security Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our growing network infrastructure, and to implement HO security policy to local infrastructure. This role requires deep knowledge of networking protocols, troubleshooting, and a proactive approach to infrastructure security and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and support LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure.
• Maintain and monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency).
• Configure and install firewalls, switches, routers, and other networking devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues across on-premise and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement and enforce network security best practices.
• Conduct capacity planning and recommend infrastructure upgrades.
• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations and procedures.
• Participate in network-related incident response and change management.
• Provide mentorship to junior network staff (for experienced candidates).

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 3 years or above of experience in network engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking hardware.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, BGP, OSPF, and other core networking concepts.
• Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and security best practices.
• Good communication skills in both written and oral English and Mandarin to liaise with internal and external chinese stakeholders.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional (CCNA/CCNP) and Huawei Certificated ICT Associate/Professional (HCIA/HCIP) certifications will be an added advantage
