Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a visual identity and brand for the NUS School of Computing across digital and print platforms.
- Conceptualise and design visual materials for communication and outreach, including social media graphics, videos, presentation decks, posters, reports, event banners, infographics, and website visuals.
- Collaborate with research clusters, programme leads, and faculty. ambassadors to translate complex ideas into compelling visual narratives.
- Provide creative direction for flagship campaigns and media engagement initiatives.
- Ensure alignment with NUS brand guidelines while developing the School’s unique design identity.
- Liaise with vendors for the production of physical materials (e.g., brochures, banners, merchandise).
- Support internal events, launches, and recruitment efforts with custom visuals and branding materials.
- Provide photography and video editing support where required.
- Maintain a library of branded templates and visual assets for consistent use across the School.
- Participate in strategic communications planning and contribute with visual design for the development of campaigns.
- Support the Communications team with any other design-related and ad hoc tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- A recognised diploma or degree in Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, or a related field.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant working experience in a creative/design role.
- Strong proficiency in design tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
- Design portfolio demonstrating strong layout, typography, branding, and storytelling skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on tight timelines.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to interpret feedback and iterate quickly.
- Familiarity with higher education or science communication is a plus.
- Experience in photography, animation, or video production/editing is a plus.
