Senior Marine Package Engineer

Summary

Leads marine equipment engineering activities for marine and offshore Hull, ensuring technical integrity, vendor performance, and timely project delivery. Acts as discipline focal point for assigned packages.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design, specification, datasheet and selection of major marine mechanical equipment packages.
• Take ownership of critical packages (e.g., diesel generator, steam boiler, deck crane, cargo pump).
• Review and approval of datasheets, specifications, engineering deliverables, vendor documents and deviations.
• Lead technical bid evaluations and vendor clarifications.
• Act as technical authority during FAT, SAT, and commissioning.
• Manage interfaces across disciplines and packages.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with project, client, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• More than 10 years' experience (min. 5 years in FPSO/offshore projects).
• Strong expertise in: API Standards | ASME Standards | Vibration, and reliability | IACS Class rules | IMO Regulations
• Works independently with minimal supervision.
• Makes key technical decisions within assigned scope.
• Recognized as discipline specialist within project team.
• Effective English written and verbal communication skills
