Job Summary

Operate excavators safely and efficiently to performexcavation, loading, lifting, and leveling tasks on construction sites. Conductdaily equipment checks, report issues, and support site operations to ensurecompliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavator safely and efficiently to meet job requirements and project timelines
• Perform excavation, loading, lifting, and leveling tasks with precision and care
• Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance of excavator to ensure optimal performance
• Follow all safety regulations and site procedures while operating machinery
• Report mechanical faults or safety concerns promptly to supervisors for timely resolution
• Support site work activities as needed to maintain smooth operations
• Complete any other ad-hoc duties assigned to support the team and project goals

Required competencies and certifications

• Hold a valid Excavator Operator licence or certification (e.g., WSQ) to operate machinery legally and safely

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Possess relevant working experience as an excavator operator to enhance job performance
• Demonstrate familiarity with site safety procedures to contribute to a safe work environment
• Exhibit responsibility, safety awareness, and ability to work independently under supervision
• Availability for overtime work to meet project demands
