Therapy Assistant

Job Description

The Therapy Assistant supports Therapists in deliveringtherapy services and assists with the Centre's daily operations andadministrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Therapists in assessing clients' suitability for therapy.
• Prepare clients, equipment, and materials for therapy sessions.
• Monitor and record clients' vital signs as instructed.
• Assist in implementing individual and group therapy programmes.
• Carry out therapy procedures under the guidance of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.
• Observe and report clients' progress to Therapists.
• Maintain infection control, cleanliness, and safety of therapy areas.
• Assist clients with toileting when required.
• Maintain client records, monitor attendance, and conduct follow-up calls.
• Perform administrative duties, maintain inventories, and update activity records.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma in Healthcare Management or a related discipline.
• Certificate in Therapy Services and/or WSQ Certification in Therapy Support is an advantage.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Ability to communicate in a second language is an advantage. Proficiency in local dialects is beneficial for communicating with elderly clients who are more comfortable conversing in dialects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Responsible, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passionate about supporting the care and well-being of seniors.

Location: Bukit Panjang
Salary commensurate with experience.
