Job Summary

You will supervise transmission equipment installation at SPPA substations, ensuring contractor compliance with safety, quality, and project standards while coordinating with project teams and maintaining thorough site documentation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise transmission equipment installation works at SPPA substations to ensure project milestones are met
• Enforce contractor compliance with safety, quality, and project requirements to maintain high standards
• Conduct Toolbox Meetings and perform site safety inspections to promote a safe working environment
• Review Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Safe Work Procedures to verify adequacy and compliance
• Monitor lifting, work-at-height, electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure safe execution
• Verify workers’ safety passes, permits, and relevant certificates to confirm authorization and competency
• Identify and report unsafe practices, incidents, and non-compliance to mitigate risks promptly
• Prepare detailed site reports and maintain accurate documentation for project tracking and audits
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with the project team to align on progress and resolve issues
• Ensure adherence to the Workplace Safety and Health Act and company safety policies to uphold legal compliance

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in similar projects
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline
• Valid Supervise Construction Work in Workplace Safety and Health certification

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Good knowledge of workplace safety requirements
• Ability to work independently and supervise contractors effectively
• Strong communication and reporting skills
