About the Role

The Sales Merchandiser is responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s products across assigned supermarket outlets. The role involves liaising closely with supermarket personnel, monitoring stock levels, coordinating replenishment, ensuring proper product display, and supporting sales growth through effective outlet management.

Job Description

• Manage and maintain good working relationships with assigned supermarkets and retail outlets.
• Liaise with supermarket buyers, store managers, and relevant personnel on product orders, stock availability, deliveries, and other operational matters.
• Conduct regular visits to assigned outlets to monitor stock levels, product displays, and overall product presentation.
• Monitor inventory levels and arrange timely replenishment to minimise stock shortages and prevent overstocking.
• Check product availability, shelf positioning, pricing, promotional displays, and overall presentation at each outlet.
• Coordinate with supermarkets and internal teams to ensure orders are placed and fulfilled on time.
• Follow up on outstanding orders, deliveries, stock discrepancies, and other outlet-related issues.
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels, sales orders, deliveries, returns, and product movements.
• Monitor product expiry dates and arrange appropriate stock rotation where applicable.
• Ensure products are properly displayed, adequately stocked, and presented according to company and supermarket requirements.
• Assist with promotional activities, new product launches, product displays, and in-store campaigns.
• Gather feedback from supermarket personnel regarding product demand, customer preferences, and sales performance.
• Monitor sales and stock movement across assigned outlets and identify opportunities to improve product availability and sales.
• Provide regular updates and reports to management on outlet performance, stock levels, orders, and market observations.
• Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and sales teams to ensure smooth delivery and replenishment of products.
• Handle and resolve day-to-day issues relating to stock, deliveries, product displays, and supermarket requirements.
• Perform other sales and merchandising duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma, Nitec, Higher Nitec, or relevant qualification in Business, Sales, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in sales merchandising, retail, FMCG, or supermarket operations.
• Experience dealing directly with supermarkets, retail chains, or major accounts will be an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with supermarket personnel.
• Good understanding of stock management, inventory control, and product replenishment.
• Strong organizational skills with good attention to detail.
• Able to monitor multiple outlets and manage schedules and follow-ups effectively.
• Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Good problem-solving skills with the ability to handle operational issues promptly.
• Possession of a valid Singapore Class 3 driving license will be an advantage.
