Partnerships & Growth Associate
About this job
Build stronger partnerships, keep our pipeline moving and help turn one-off opportunities into longer-term relationships.
About the Role
We're looking for a Partnerships & Growth Associate who enjoys connecting with people, spotting opportunities and turning conversations into meaningful collaborations. This isn't purely a sales role. You'll work closely with our Founder to identify new markets, strengthen existing client relationships, develop new service opportunities and ensure promising leads don't fall through the cracks.
What You'll Be Doing
Partnerships & Business Development
Identify and reach out to potential corporate, school, government, community and event partners.
Conduct targeted email outreach and cold calling, particularly to schools and organisations.
Research potential clients, industries and partnership opportunities.
Generate and qualify new leads, build relationships and arrange meetings with qualified prospects.
Support the Founder in preparing proposals, quotations and pitches.
Lead Management & Follow-Up
Manage Commenhers' lead and partnership pipeline and maintain an organised CRM / lead tracker.
Ensure enquiries receive timely responses and proposals are followed up consistently.
Reconnect with previous clients and dormant leads.
Identify opportunities for repeat projects and longer-term partnerships.
Track upcoming opportunities, client timelines and relevant seasonal moments.
Growth & Service Development
Identify new industries and client segments we could serve.
Explore new ways to package our existing services and programmes.
Identify seasonal opportunities such as Earth Day, sustainability campaigns, employee engagement, school programmes and corporate gifting.
Suggest ways to turn one-off projects into recurring partnerships.
Contribute ideas for new workshops, programmes, collaborations and revenue streams.
Review what's working in our sales pipeline and recommend improvements.
Who We're Looking For
Experience or strong interest in partnerships, business development, sales, account management, events, education or sustainability.
Confident communicating through email, phone calls and meetings.
Comfortable reaching out to people you haven't met before.
Strong follow-up and organisational skills.
Able to work independently in a small and fast-moving team.
Enjoys identifying opportunities rather than simply completing assigned tasks.
Professional when communicating with corporate and institutional clients.
Interest in sustainability, circularity and/or social impact.
Bonus: Previous experience working with schools, corporate clients, government agencies, events, CSR/ESG teams or social enterprises.
What This Role Offers
You'll work directly with the Founder and gain exposure to the full partnership journey - from identifying opportunities and shaping programmes to pitching ideas and seeing projects come to life. The partnerships you help build contribute towards creating more opportunities for our maker communities while keeping textile waste in circulation.
