Job Summary

Support safety management in building and construction projects by ensuring compliance with statutory safety, health, and environmental standards and coordinating with stakeholders to maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Safety Manager in managing safety, health, environmental, and welfare matters to ensure project compliance with statutory obligations and aerodrome safety standards
• Oversee health, safety, and environmental controls to ensure all work follows established procedures and instructions
• Coordinate with stakeholders, authorities, agencies, and consultants engaged by the developer to facilitate safety compliance
• Prepare and submit daily situation reports documenting site safety status and incidents
• Conduct daily health, safety, and environmental inspections, generate detailed reports, and follow up with the Project Safety Team and contractors to close out issues
• Perform investigations on accidents and near-miss incidents, documenting findings accurately on required forms
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and strictly adhere to all safety procedures and requirements on site
• Implement and monitor safety measures in compliance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act and the project’s Safety Management System
• Identify and highlight training or certification needs to meet legislative standards, Approved Codes of Practice, or Health, Safety, and Environmental guidance

Required competencies and certifications

• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM (Ministry of Manpower)
• Experience developing a Risk Management Implementation Plan (bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, with at least 2 years working with a developer or main contractor
