Assistant Cook

Desh Catering Service Pte Ltd is looking for a hardworking and responsible Assistant Cook to join our food production team in Singapore.

Assistant Cook

Roles & Responsibilities

* Assist the Head Cook/Chef with daily food preparation and cooking.

* Prepare Bangladeshi-style dishes according to the daily menu.

* Cut and prepare meat, fish, vegetables and other ingredients.

* Prepare spices, marinades, curry bases and cooking ingredients.

* Assist in cooking rice, curry, dal, vegetables, fish and meat dishes.

* Follow recipes, portion sizes and food quality standards.

* Support large-volume cooking for catering operations.

* Ensure food is prepared and ready according to the production and delivery schedule.

* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, equipment and utensils.

* Follow food safety, personal hygiene and PPE requirements.

* Properly store raw materials and prepared food.

* Minimise food wastage and use ingredients responsibly.

* Assist with cleaning and other kitchen duties when required.

* Perform other duties assigned by the Head Cook or Kitchen Supervisor.

Requirements

* Experience in Bangladeshi cooking or catering kitchen preferred.

* Experience in bulk/large-volume cooking will be an advantage.

* Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

* Physically fit and willing to work shifts when required.

* Good knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety.

* Responsible, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.
