Job Purpose
The Project Manager will support the General Manager of Workstation Pte Ltd in terms of project managing and driving progress for P600 – project to create and lease out 600 new machine spaces. This project will create incremental revenue for SMRT, and requires working closely with multiple stakeholders from SMRT Trains, Stellar, as well as external agencies, such as LTA, SCDF, MHA. The Project Manager will be central point of contact for all Project-related matters, and coordinate with multiple internal and external parties to ensure good project progress. This involves regular reporting to key management personnel from internal and external entities, as well as onsite works to identify new spaces, and inspect the creation and leasing out of these new spaces.
Responsibilities
The Project Manager will assist and support the General Manager of Workstation in these areas:
1. Project Management
- Develop action plan, shared goals, milestones, define scope of work and overall schedule
- Identify resource needs, availability, task specialisations for smooth project implementation
- Keep clear communication lines and alignment across key stakeholder groups for effective collaboration
- Maintain primary source of project documentation that serves as a shared resource across departments, execute on project tasks and deliverables
2. Data Analysis and Review of Stations / Floor Plans
- Initial review of floor plans to identify commercially viable machine point locations
- Provide data-driven recommendations through analysis and transformation of multiple data sources
3. Site Visits for Commercial Viability and Feasibility Assessments
- Develop site visit schedule based on priority stations and optimal route
- Determine the target outcomes and coordinate efforts among the main teams
- Conduct commercial viability assessment of site locations; recommendations on marketability
- Provide recommendations for possible technical fixes (low modification) to be explored further by Trains representatives
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
- Preferably 5 to 7 years of working experience in a project manager role within a transit environment, with a proven record in asset management.
- Experience in working with multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally, including with Government Agencies.
- Strong project management skills.
- Keen understanding of public transit environment and asset management.
- Analytical and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with different stakeholders.
