IT Consultant

Job Summary

We seek a highly skilled IT consultant to analyze clients’ technology systems, identify optimization opportunities, and enhance security. You will communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders and deliver tailored IT solutions that align with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Analyze clients’ technological requirements and provide actionable advice to meet their needs
• Identify potential security risks and develop effective mitigation strategies
• Optimize IT systems and infrastructure to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve performance
• Provide continuous support and guidance to maintain and enhance digital systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology initiatives with business objectives
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ existing IT systems and processes
• Develop and implement customized IT solutions, including hardware, software, network architecture, and cybersecurity measures
• Document IT systems and procedures to create clear standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and technology partners
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to deliver the best IT advice and support

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience as an IT consultant, preferably in a technology-based firm
• Strong knowledge of IT systems, including networks, servers, and software
• Proficiency in various programming languages, database management software, and operating systems
• Familiarity with cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and data protection domains
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a problem-solving mindset

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, ITIL Foundation)
• Experience with cloud computing and virtualization technologies
• Ability to lead teams, work independently, and collaborate across multiple units
