Accountant

We are a boutique corporate services firm providing company incorporation, corporate secretarial, accounting, taxation and HR-related services to MNC/local SMEs in Singapore.

We are looking for an experienced and dependable Part-Time Accountant to join our team on a long-term basis.

This role may be particularly suitable for an experienced accounting professional who values flexibility and independence while still having the stability of a fixed monthly salary.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for a portfolio of SME clients and your duties will include:

• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual bookkeeping for assigned clients in XERO.
• Prepare unaudited financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Prepare corporate income tax computations and related tax filings.
• Prepare and submit XBRL financial statements and reports.
• Communicate with clients to obtain accounting records, supporting documents and explanations, and follow up on outstanding information where necessary.
• Monitor assigned jobs and ensure that agreed internal, client and statutory deadlines are met.
• Assist, from time to time, with other corporate compliance and administrative matters, including EP applications, ACRA filings and coordination of document notarisation or legalisation for clients, particularly where urgent assistance is required or another team member is unavailable.
• Assist with other reasonable accounting, compliance and administrative duties according to the operational needs of the firm.

What We Are Looking For:

• Diploma, degree, professional qualification or other relevant training in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 5 years or more of relevant hands-on accounting experience.
• Experience in preparing full sets of accounts, unaudited financial statements, corporate income tax computations and XBRL preparation etc
• Experience working in an accounting practice, corporate services firm or outsourced accounting environment would be useful, but is not essential.
• Familiarity with Xero or similar accounting software.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage assigned jobs from start to completion.
• Careful, organised and attentive to detail.
• Able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast responsive working environment.
• High integrity with a strong sense of responsibility and urgency, commitment to delivering timely results.
