Event Technical Designer

Job Summary
We are looking for a creative and technically skilled Event Technical Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing technical designs, production drawings, and visual concepts for events, exhibitions, retail spaces, and related projects. We welcome both Junior and Senior candidates, depending on their experience and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop creative and practical design concepts for events, exhibitions, roadshows, and other projects.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, 3D renderings, and production drawings based on client requirements.
- Produce layouts, floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
- Work closely with the project, production, and installation teams to ensure designs can be executed accurately.
- Conduct site measurements and site surveys when required.
- Prepare material specifications and coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and fabricators.
- Ensure all designs comply with project requirements, safety standards, and venue regulations.
- Provide technical support during project setup, installation, and dismantling.
- Attend client meetings and participate in design discussions when required.
- Manage multiple projects and ensure design deliverables are completed within the required timeline.
- Make necessary design revisions based on client feedback and project requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, Event Design, or a related field.
- At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in event, exhibition, interior, or spatial design.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, 3ds Max, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software.
- Experience with V-Ray, Enscape, or other rendering software will be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of technical drawings, materials, fabrication, and construction processes.
- Creative with a good eye for design details, space planning, and visual presentation.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willing to work beyond regular hours, including weekends or public holidays, when required for project setup and events.
