About the opportunity

A leading regional real estate group is looking for an experienced lawyer to join its legal team in Singapore.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex real estate acquisitions, developments and divestments across Asia, with exposure to M&A, joint ventures and cross-border transactions.

The role

You will partner closely with senior management and business teams across Singapore and regional markets, providing practical legal advice throughout the full lifecycle of real estate projects and investments.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on real estate acquisitions, development projects, divestments and construction-related matters.

• Structure, negotiate and execute M&A and joint venture transactions.

• Draft and review sale and purchase agreements, leases, financing and security documents, construction and service agreements, NDAs and other commercial contracts.

• Support regional business teams on corporate, operational and employment-related matters.

• Manage disputes and external counsel where required.

• Develop legal templates, policies, processes and training materials.

• Provide support on corporate secretarial and governance matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law with at least 6 years of PQE.

• Strong real estate, corporate or transactional legal experience gained in private practice and/or an in-house role.

• Experience handling complex and cross-border transactions.

• Exposure to M&A, joint ventures, property development or construction matters will be highly regarded.

• Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.

• Commercially minded, solutions-oriented and comfortable working with senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
