Electrical Technician (Renovation Works)

Job Description

• Carry out electrical installation and renovation works at residential, commercial and retail premises.
• Install and modify electrical wiring, lighting points, switches, sockets and electrical accessories.
• Install downlights, track lights, LED lights and other lighting fixtures.
• Carry out rewiring and electrical modification works during renovation.
• Install conduits, trunking and cable containment.
• Carry out electrical works for new partitions, ceilings, kitchen areas and other renovated spaces.
• Read and follow electrical drawings and layout plans.
• Perform testing, troubleshooting and rectification of electrical faults.
• Assist with electrical testing and commissioning.
• Coordinate electrical works with renovation contractors and other trades.
• Ensure electrical works are carried out safely and according to project requirements.
• Maintain proper housekeeping at the worksite.
• Perform other electrical-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 1–2 years of relevant electrical or renovation experience preferred.
• Experience in residential, commercial or retail renovation electrical works is an advantage.
• Able to carry out basic electrical wiring, installation and troubleshooting.
• Able to install lighting points, switches, sockets and electrical accessories.
• Able to read basic electrical drawings and layout plans.
• Familiar with the use of electrical hand tools and testing equipment.
• Electrical-related qualification or certification is preferred.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work at different renovation sites in Singapore.
• Responsible, hardworking and safety-conscious.
• Candidates with relevant experience but without formal qualifications may also be considered.
