Software System Architect

Key Responsibilities

• Define scalable, secure, and maintainable embedded software/firmware architectures based on product requirements.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into system designs, specifications, interfaces, and integration strategies.
• Design, develop, integrate, and test embedded software on Linux-based platforms.
• Customize embedded Linux OS platforms such as Yocto and PetaLinux.
• Develop application-level software, including C# GUI tools where required.
• Lead and mentor software engineers across design, development, integration, and testing.
• Review architecture, design documents, code, and test plans to ensure quality and best practices.
• Drive software integration, system-level testing, performance optimization, and production-ready firmware releases.
• Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and vendors on requirements, architecture, qualification, certification, and compliance.
• Maintain technical documentation and enforce software development standards and processes.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in embedded software architecture, design, and development.
• Proficient in C/C++, Rust, Python, and Bash.
• Strong experience with Embedded Linux and OS customization.
• Good understanding of hardware platforms and hardware-software integration.
• Knowledge of network protocols, routing/switching, and network programming.
• Familiarity with cloud computing and cloud-native concepts.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, GitLab, and Docker.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Linux kernel drivers and low-level firmware.
• C# GUI development experience.
• Knowledge of secure coding and software development lifecycle methodologies.
• Experience in HSM/security product development.
