Veterinary Technician

Job Description

• Assisting in consultations;
• Dispensing medications to clients accurately and thoroughly according to the Veterinarian’s prescription;
• Performing basic medical procedures (e.g. intravenous catheter placement, urinary catheter placement, endotracheal intubation, anaesthetic monitoring etc.) under the Veterinarian’s supervision;
• Performing laboratory work and assisting the veterinarian with diagnostic imaging (e.g. radiography and ultrasonography);
• Assisting with dental/surgical procedures
• After hours nursing duties,
• Nursing care for hospitalised patients, including overnight / after-hours shifts as deemed necessary by the Company;
• Routine duties include performing blood tests, urine/faecal analysis;
• Maintaining hygiene and cleanliness within all areas of the clinic.
• Train junior nurese

Requirements:

• Degree in veterinary nursing/technology or degree in veterinary medicine/ DVM
• Microsoft-Office/Email Proficient
• Fluent in spoken and written English (ability to converse in Mandarin is advantageous to liaise with clients)
• Basic mathematical skills
• Excellent telephone and interpersonal conversational etiquette
• At least 2 years relevant experience preferred
• Experience in leadership roles advantageous
