Senior Analyst, Business Application Support

POSITION SUMMARY:
Supporting the Singapore based Regional Office and APAC markets, you will own the maintenance and optimization of the ERP system (focusing on Finance and Trade-Logistics/Inventory Management) and related integrated business applications. Key responsibilities include master data management, providing expert administrative and end-user support, and actively driving issue resolution and system enhancements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
System Administration & Master Data:
- Execute administrative support functions, including managing master data integrity within the Production environment.
- Specific tasks include supplier onboarding and vendor extension processing for the Procurement Application.
Front-Line User Support:
- Provide first and second-level support to end-users, ensuring the timely and effective resolution of all application issues and queries.
Advanced Issue Resolution & Prevention:
- Perform complex log file analysis and root cause identification for recurring or critical issues.
- Analyse, document, and track the entire issue lifecycle, including decisions, successful/unsuccessful actions, and final resolution steps.
- Evaluate documented resolutions and analyse trends to recommend and implement solutions that prevent future occurrences of similar issues.
Service & Application Improvement:
- Drive enhancements focused on early detection of incidents and faster system recovery.
- Identify and implement automation for repetitive and manual administrative tasks.
Reporting & Business Intelligence:
- Responsible for generating timely, user-centric reports and analytics that directly support and meet the needs of business stakeholders.
Data Model Design & ETL:
- Design data models and develop Extraction, Loading, and Transformation (ETL) rules based on documented user requirements.
Performance Monitoring:
- Analyze Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Metrics and monitor Service Level Agreement (SLA) fulfillment related to annual maintenance service contracts.
Application Improvement Projects:
- Actively participate in Business Application improvement initiatives and other ad-hoc projects.
- Provide essential user support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-implementation phases of all assigned projects.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- ERP Platform Experience: Minimum 5 years of direct experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 and other business applications.
- Proven knowledge and experience supporting ERP platforms and Application Management Services solutions.
- Strong practical understanding of data structure and proficiency in SQL querying for Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting purposes.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration).
- Strong business process understanding across Financial Accounting and Trade Logistics workflows.
- Deep systems and data experience covering procurement, financial accounting processes, and trade logistics.
- Problem-Solving: Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose complex application issues.
- Communication: Demonstrate strong and effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with end-users and stakeholders.
- Attitude: Self-motivated and self-confident, with a positive and proactive ability to accept and respond to technical challenges.
