Job Summary
As Executive, Commercial, you will be responsible for ensuring that terms and conditions of existing sponsorship agreements are effectively fulfilled, while supporting the collective sponsorship sales and commercial efforts of the organisation. The role is aimed at ensuring sponsorship goals are achieved and sponsor relations are maintained and enhanced. You will report to the Director, Commercial and support the organisation’s drive to secure revenue from new sponsorship deals.
Job Description
Business Development & Commercial
- Create and identify new business opportunities, develop plans, strategic proposals and implement them to fulfil set objectives and performance targets consistent with the business objectives of FAS, SPL and other national football entities
- Support initiatives to engage external stakeholders with a common interest focus, including building and maintaining long-term working relationships or partnerships
- Support fundraising and donor engagement initiatives for football development and community projects
- Produce and fine-tune sponsorship sales collaterals in line with industry’s best practices
- Support development of sponsorship strategies based on market research and portfolio gap analysis
- Analyse sponsorship portfolio for gaps in coverage based on the FAS’s sponsorship strategies
Partnership Management & Servicing
- Maintain strong working relationships with current sponsors and partners to ensure contract fulfilment, covering onsite branding (A-boards, scoreboards), digital branding (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn), ticketing, billing, and any other partner obligations
- Support hospitality, ticketing, and activation deliverables for partner entitlements at SPL, WPL, and National Team matches
- Serve as the primary point of contact for partner queries, ensuring a seamless and professional experience
- Analyse sponsorship obligations and sponsorship activation event metrics to determine areas of improvement for existing sponsorships
- Track sponsorship obligations across all existing sponsors in the organisation, and budget spend on these fulfilments
- Manage and deepen relationships with existing sponsors
Others
- Ensure commercial and business development programmes are communicated and understood by internal stakeholders to secure buy-in and cooperation
- Support the negotiation of contracts with sponsors or distributors, escalating high-level disputes to the Director, Commercial as needed
- Any other duties as assigned by the Director, Commercial, and the General Secretary
Job Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management or a related field
- 1–3 years' experience in sponsorship, partnerships, sales, or commercial roles (sports industry background is an added advantage)
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Strong negotiation, relationship management, and stakeholder communication abilities
- Proficiency in proposal writing, CRM/sales tracking tools, and budget tracking
- Must be willing to work on match days, including weekends, in line with SPL, WPL, and National Team calendar
