Job Summary
Support project management by coordinating contract execution, preparing technical documents, managing schedules, and ensuring quality and compliance across multiple construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist project manager in executing contract progress and project controls including budgeting and planning
- Prepare, review, and submit shop drawings, catalogues, and engineering calculations to meet project requirements
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and forecasts to track progress and resource needs
- Calculate bill of materials and engineering deliverables to support project implementation
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of project milestones
- Monitor and perform quality checks on completed work stages and recommend improvements for effective project management
- Develop method statements and testing procedures to ensure compliance with technical and safety standards
- Produce project status and progress reports to communicate updates to stakeholders
- Attend progress and technical meetings to facilitate collaboration and resolve issues
- Write clear reports and documentation to support project records and communication
- Facilitate effective communication among engineering, technical, construction, and project control teams
- Inspect installations and operations to verify compliance with design specifications and safety regulations
- Support project manager with all other project administrative tasks as required
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the local construction industry
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in Addition & Alteration (A&A) projects
- Experience with precast design
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage pressure to meet tight project deadlines
- Positive working attitude and readiness to start immediately or within a short notice period
