Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Audit Director to lead audit and assurance engagements, manage client portfolios, uphold audit quality, and support the continued growth of the firm.
The role requires strong technical audit knowledge, leadership capability, client management experience, and the ability to guide teams in delivering quality work within timeline and budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit and assurance engagements from planning to completion.
- Review audit workpapers, financial statements, management letters and audit deliverables.
- Ensure audit engagements comply with Singapore Standards on Auditing, SFRS and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Oversee engagement budgets, timelines, staffing and job recovery.
- Provide technical guidance to audit managers and team members.
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as the key contact for assigned client portfolios.
- Identify client service and business development opportunities.
- Monitor audit quality and ensure files are completed in accordance with firm methodology.
- Coach, mentor and develop audit team members.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Support internal quality control, technical updates and process improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with partners on client matters, technical consultations and firm-wide initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent professional qualification.
- CA Singapore, ACCA, CPA, ICAEW or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of external audit experience, including leadership experience in an audit firm.
- Strong knowledge of SFRS, SSA and Singapore regulatory requirements.
- Experience managing multiple audit engagements and client portfolios.
- Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills.
- Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent client service, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines, competing priorities and a fast-paced working environment.
- Experience with Caseware or audit software will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of MAS-regulated clients, IFRS, US GAAP, Python or UiPath will be an added advantage.
