Locum Staff Nurse (Nursing Home) #HJO

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with established nursing standards and care plans.
• Perform nursing assessments and monitor residents’ health conditions, vital signs and overall well-being.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by doctors.
• Perform nursing procedures including wound dressing, catheter care, nasogastric tube feeding and other clinical procedures as required.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and escalate abnormalities promptly to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge of residents where required.
• Provide assistance and supervision for residents’ activities of daily living where necessary.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation, medication records and residents’ care records.
• Ensure proper infection control, medication safety and nursing home safety practices.
• Perform other nursing duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid registration with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) as a Registered Nurse.
• Comfortable caring for elderly residents with varying levels of dependency and medical needs.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
