About the Job:
Job Title: Field Service Engineer - Breathing Apparatus
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned service orders from initiation through completion, coordinating closely with Service, Logistics, and other relevant departments to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders, providing updates and support on technical issues, service requirements, equipment status, and delivery schedules.
- Perform equipment commissioning, contract maintenance, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, service documentation, and warranty repairs for assigned products and systems.
- Independently diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions to restore optimal performance.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency service requests, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing equipment downtime.
- Prepare and communicate technical findings, service reports, and recommendations clearly and professionally to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and on-the-job support to junior service engineers and technicians as required.
- Participate in service-related projects, equipment enhancement initiatives, emergency response activities, and other technical assignments to support business and customer needs.
Position Requirements:
Education Level:
- Dipl. in Mechanical Engineering
- Dipl. in Mechatronics Engineering
Experience:
- 5–10 years of experience in service or engineering roles within the Semiconductor, Oil & Gas, or Process industries.
- Hands-on experience with pneumatic and mechanical equipment.
