Finance Manager, Family Office

12 000 – 15 000 $

About this job

About the Role

We are a private family office managing investments and personal financial affairs for a high-net- worth family across multiple entities, jurisdictions and investment structures.

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to own the group's annual accounting and reporting cycle, act as the principal's primary finance point of contact, and coordinate a network of external advisers. This is a senior, self-directed role. Monthly volume is light: the emphasis is on carrying end-to-end responsibility for each entity's annual accounts, tax and statutory filings being completed accurately and on time, keeping the principal clearly informed, and holding externalparties to deadline.

An early priority will be leading a review of the family's trust accounts.

Job Scope

Lead a review of the family's trust accounts as an early deliverable, including reconstruction and reconciliation of historical records where required.

Maintain accurate records of investment holdings, cash flows, capital calls and distributions, and intercompany transactions. Reconcile portfolio positions to accounting records.

Own the annual accounting and reporting cycle across all group entities (companies, estates and trusts), spanning Singapore and several overseas jurisdictions. Ensure each entity's books, financial statements, tax and statutory filings are prepared accurately and to deadline.

Act as the principal's primary finance contact. Prepare and present periodic financial statements and cash-flow summaries, respond to queries, and flag anything requiring a decision early and clearly.

Coordinate and manage external advisers (auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, legal and investment advisers) across jurisdictions. Hold them to deadlines and keep the group's compliance

calendar current and accurate.

Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping and month-end close where it occurs, reviewing work prepared

by junior accounts staff.

Manage statutory filing requirements (ACRA, IRAS, and overseas equivalents via advisers) and

the group's compliance deadline calendar.

Prepare financial reports and cash-flow summaries for the principal and family members.

Support budgeting, expense tracking and management of household and personal entity accounts

where required.

Support ad hoc projects, including entity wind-downs, distributions, new entity setups, restructuring

and special reporting requests.

Ensure strict confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive financial information.

Requirements

Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification.

Minimum 8 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally with multi-entity, holding-company or family-office exposure.

Strong working knowledge of accounting standards (SFRS and/or IFRS) and ACRA/IRAS compliance. Comfortable coordinating overseas compliance (including UK, Isle of Man, New Zealand, Malaysia and BVI) through external advisers, without needing to be an expert in each

regime.

Familiarity with investment accounting (equities, funds, REITs) is a strong advantage.

Proficiency in accounting software (Xero) and advanced Excel skills.

Strong coordination and project-management instinct. Able to run several parallel workstreams, track deadlines across entities and advisers, and keep everything moving without close supervision.

High level of discretion, integrity and sound judgment given the confidential and sensitive nature of the role. Attentive, proactive, and quick to spot what matters.

Meticulous and organised. Comfortable working from established, documented processes and versioned records, and operating independently with minimal supervision.

Strong communication skills. Prior experience working directly with business owners or principals is preferred.
