Cleaner

Key Responsibilities

• Clean floors using sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming equipment.
• Remove dust, dirt, grease, and other contaminants from work areas and equipment exteriors.
• Clean production areas in accordance with established cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste according to company and environmental requirements.
• Clean and sanitize toilets, washrooms, locker rooms, pantry, and other common areas.
• Replenish consumables such as toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, and sanitizer.
• Clean windows, doors, walls, staircases, railings, and other designated surfaces.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, spills, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor promptly.
• Follow Safe Work Procedures (SWPs), Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements, and proper chemical handling procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals, machinery, and equipment safely and according to manufacturer instructions.
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing cleaning duties.
• Assist with periodic deep cleaning, floor polishing, and special cleaning projects when required.
• Maintain cleaning tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Complete cleaning records and checklists accurately.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

Education

• Primary education or equivalent preferred.

Experience

• Previous cleaning experience in a factory, warehouse, industrial, or manufacturing environment is an advantage.
• Candidates without experience may be considered as training will be provided.

Skills & Competencies

• Basic understanding of cleaning methods and equipment.
• Ability to follow work instructions and cleaning schedules.
• Knowledge of workplace hygiene and safety practices.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual work.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Responsible, reliable, and punctual.
• Good communication skills.

Working Conditions

• Indoor factory and industrial environment.
• Required to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry cleaning equipment during the course of work.
• May be required to work overtime, weekends, or public holidays when operationally required.
• Exposure to dust, noise, cleaning chemicals, and varying temperatures depending on work areas.
