QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER
About this job
Key Responsibilities
1. Incoming / In-Process / Outgoing Quality Inspection
Perform visual and dimensional inspections based on inspection criteria and customer specifications
Conduct sampling inspections and record inspection results
Identify, tag, quarantine, and log non-conforming materials
2. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain inspection records, NCR logs, and QA documentation
Prepare daily QA reports for supervisors and engineers
Ensure document traceability in accordance with IMS / ISO requirements
3. Support for QA Engineers
Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action activities (RCCA / CAPA)
Support preparation of reports for customer feedback, internal issues, and audits
Follow up on corrective and preventive actions
4. Quality System & Compliance
Adhere to IMS, SOPs, and Work Instructions during QA activities
Assist with compliance checks across departments
Support updates to QA forms, checklists, and basic procedures
5. Audit Support
Prepare materials, records, and samples for internal and external audits
Participate in on-site audits together with senior QA personnel
6. Customer Quality Support (Under Supervision)
Assist in compiling evidence for customer quality inquiries
Support communication of defects and rejection reasons
7. Equipment Handling
Operate basic measuring instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators)
Maintain calibration records and raise reminders when required
8. Shopfloor Quality Activities
Conduct patrol inspections
Monitor process compliance
Escalate quality abnormalities promptly
Requirements
Education & Experience
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Quality Engineering, or related disciplines
1–3 years of experience in quality control, field service, or quality engineering
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
Technical Knowledge
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Basic knowledge of measurement equipment and inspection tools
Familiarity with quality tools (5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, CAPA) is an advantage
Skills & Competencies
Strong problem-solving and hands-on troubleshooting skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to travel to customer locations when required
