Dental Assistant (Locum)

We are looking for motivated and responsible individuals who are interested in learning new skills and building a career in healthcare to join our team as a Dental Assistant (Locum).

This role is ideal for someone who is keen to join us in our advocacy for a society where every migrant worker lives a life of health, well-being and dignity.

This is currently a locum position, but we are looking to expand it to a part time or full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for treatment and help patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment.
• Assist the dentist during procedures.
• Provide patients with post-operative and general oral health care instructions.
• Assist in taking and developing dental x-rays.
• Clean and sterilize dental instruments after each use.
• Maintain an accurate record of patient charts and ensure that all patient information is up to date.
• Assist in communication with patients for appointment reminders, appointment re-scheduling and related patient care issues.
• Assist in clinic operations, such as appointment bookings, answering calls, billing and ordering of supplies.
• To perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor or HOD.

Requirements

• GCE N or O level, NITEC equivalent
• Able to communicate clearly with patients and the dental team
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is an advantage

Salary Range for Locum Contract:

· $20/hr

Work Hours:

· Mondays to Fridays:

AM shift: 10am to 1.30pm (3.5hours)

PM shift: 2.30pm to 6pm (3.5hours)
