Project Manager (HDB – MSCP / HIP / ELUP / Main Contractor / A&A)

Role Overview

Our client is a BCA-registered General Builder, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of HDB projects involving Lift Upgrading Works, Multi-Storey Car Parks and A&A works. The successful candidate will manage the project from planning through construction, authority inspections and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, testing, inspection and handover.
• Lead project engineers, site supervisors, coordinators, safety personnel and subcontractors.
• Develop and monitor the project programme, manpower deployment, procurement schedule and construction milestones.
• Coordinate architectural, structural, civil and M&E works across the project.
• Manage subcontractor performance, site productivity, workmanship, safety and quality standards.
• Monitor project costs, progress claims, variations, material usage and potential cost exposure.
• Liaise with HDB, consultants, Qualified Persons, Town Councils, subcontractors, suppliers and relevant authorities.
• Resolve technical, site, design and coordination issues promptly to minimize disruption and delays.
• Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and statutory requirements.
• Manage inspections, submissions, project documentation, progress reports and completion records.
• Plan works carefully to minimize inconvenience and maintain safe access for residents and members of the public.
• Drive timely project completion while maintaining commercial, safety and quality objectives.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline is preferred.
• At least 5 years of construction project management experience, preferably with a main contractor.
• Must have practical experience managing at least one of the following:
• HDB Lift Upgrading Programme or similar lift upgrading works;
• HDB MSCP upgrading or improvement works
• HDB Addition & Alteration works.
• Candidates with experience across two or more of the above project categories will have a strong advantage.
• Having Design for Safety / CSCPM / RES certification is an advantage.
