Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on and proactive team member to provide operational and facilities support for the school. The role involves supporting school events, maintaining facilities and equipment, coordinating vendors, managing inventory, and assisting with procurement, safety and emergency preparedness. You will play an important role in ensuring the school environment is safe, well-maintained and ready for daily operations and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support school events and examinations, including the setup and operation of PA systems, stage lighting and sound equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment and facilities to identify and report maintenance issues.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for equipment, tools and supplies to ensure operational readiness.
  • Assist with procurement activities, including checking the quality and condition of products and services delivered.
  • Support school safety, security and emergency preparedness activities to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with school facilities, environment and general upkeep.
  • Coordinate and escort vendors and contractors while ensuring compliance with school protocols and requirements.
  • Carry out general maintenance and repair tasks to maintain the school’s facilities and equipment.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the school.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Nitec qualification in Building Facilities Maintenance, Electrical/Electronics, Air-conditioning Servicing, Plumbing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role.
  • Candidates with relevant technical qualifications and experience in building maintenance and facilities operations are encouraged to apply.

Preferred competencies

  • Prior experience in supporting stage performances, events or productions would be an advantage.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends when required.
  • Able to adapt to changing schedules and operational requirements.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proactive, responsible and hands-on, with the initiative to anticipate and respond to operational needs.
