VP, Compliance (Wholesales banking experience, up to $11k) (ID: 710702)

Responsibilities:

• Oversee regulatory risk management framework for compliance with relevant laws and regulations concerning customer information privacy, insider dealing, and accountability.
• Review and update compliance policy and procedure manuals regularly.
• Provide timely and independent advice on banking laws and industry best practices to stakeholders.
• Conduct independent compliance risk assessments and periodic internal compliance reviews or audits.
• Prepare compliance management reports and support the regulatory compliance committee.
• Facilitate compliance-related training and disseminate regulatory updates to enhance awareness.
• Support the New Products Review process and advise on relevant banking laws and regulations as needed.
• Review information for submission to regulatory bodies and undertake additional duties as directed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields with relevant compliance experience.
• 8-12 years of experience in a compliance function within the banking sector.
• Strong understanding of banking regulations, notices, and guidelines.
• Effective communication skills to articulate compliance advice and requirements to stakeholders.
• Proven leadership capabilities in the compliance area and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
