Customer Quality Engineer (CQE)| Semicon |West

Responsible for managing product quality from the customer’s perspective, acting as the primary technical interface between the customer and internal teams to ensure customer quality requirements are met, issues are resolved quickly, and long‑term quality improvements are implemented. The CQE focuses on customer complaints, quality incidents, audits, and continuous improvement, translating customer expectations into actionable internal quality and engineering activities.

Jobscope:

• Act as the main point of contact for customer quality issues, ensuring timely communication and resolution.
• Manage customer complaints, RTVs and quality claims, including investigation, containment and follow-up actions.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions with cross-functional teams to prevent recurrence.
• Monitor customer quality performance, including complaints, defect trends, yield impact and claim frequency.
• Prepare and present quality reports, dashboards and updates to customers and internal management.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, QA/IPQA and Supply Chain teams to drive quality improvements.
• Support customer audits, quality reviews and compliance activities, including tracking and closure of audit findings.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, Science, Quality Management or equivalent
• Min. 2 years experience in a QA role, Data Analyst or similar function
• Knowledge in Quality tool:8D, FMEA, SPC, RCA | Data analysis and trend monitoring
• Understanding of yield and process variation
• Strong communication skill
• Ability to manage urgent issue under time pressure
